The idea
A new interface for understanding the human body. The body emits signal continuously; almost none of it is captured, and what is captured is usually read once, by one clinician, in one room.
We think the interesting work sits between the sensor and the interpretation — in the quiet layers where noise becomes signal and signal becomes something a person can act on.
The system
Sensing hardware designed for continuous wear. On-device signal processing that rejects artefact before it reaches the model. Machine learning that is trained to say I don’t know rather than to guess confidently. And an interpretation layer built for clinicians, not for screenshots.
Hardware and model are designed together. A model tuned to a sensor it was not designed for is a research paper, not a product.
Why it matters
Health technology compounds slowly and then all at once: regulatory work, clinical validation and manufacturing discipline take years, and then the resulting system is very hard to displace. That is exactly the shape of investment Gwen is built for.
